KUALA LUMPUR: GDB Holdings Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary Grand Dynamic Builders Sdn Bhd has accepted a letter of award for the main building works of the proposed seven-storey Hap Seng Star Mercedes-Benz Autohaus building in Setia Alam, Shah Alam.
GDB said in a statement that the RM67.9mil contract award was received from Hap Seng Land Development (Puchong) Sdn Bhd, a unit of Hap Seng Consolidated Bhd.
The contract shall commence on Nov 28, 2019, for a duration of 15 month to Feb 27, 2021.
According to GDB, the construction work of the 3S (sales, service and spare parts) Autohaus comprises one seven-storey block, which consists of a ground floor and six storeys with two mezzanine floors, as well as a rooftop.
The represents GDB’s third contract win from Hap Seng, having secured contracts to build the Hyatt Centric hotel in KOta Kinabalu and Menara Hap Seng 3 in KLCC.
“With our proven track record of building high-rise and high-end residential and commercial developments, we are now continuing to be entrusted by major project owners with delivering other high-specification buildings,” said GDB group managing director Cheah Ham Cheia.
Including this contract, GDB has secured new jobs worth RM953.9mil in the year so far. Its otstanding order book as at June 2019 stood at about RM1.3bil to be recognised over the next three years.
